1. Who we are and what this site does

CarHire Athens (carhireathens.com) is a car rental comparison and referral service for Athens, Greece. We display live offers from independent car rental companies and international brokers. We do not own or operate rental vehicles. When you book, your rental contract is concluded directly with the rental supplier named on the offer, and their terms govern the rental itself.

2. Use of this website

You may use this site to search, compare and request car rental offers for personal or business travel. You agree not to misuse the site: no automated scraping, no attempts to disrupt its operation, and no submission of false booking details. We may suspend access where misuse is detected.

3. Prices and offers

Prices shown come from the suppliers' live availability systems at the time of your search and can change until a booking is confirmed. The compared price includes the mandatory charges stated on the offer. Optional extras (additional drivers, child seats, upgraded insurance) are priced separately and shown before you complete a booking. Currency is the euro unless stated otherwise.

4. Bookings, changes and cancellation

A booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation voucher naming the supplier, vehicle class, pickup details and price. Cancellation and amendment rights are stated on each offer; where an offer carries free cancellation, the deadline is shown on the voucher. Requests to change or cancel should be made through the contact details on your confirmation.

5. Driver requirements

Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and meet the age and licence-history conditions stated on the offer. Licences issued outside the EU or UK may need to be accompanied by an International Driving Permit. The supplier may refuse handover, without refund of supplier charges, where legal requirements are not met at pickup.

6. Insurance, deposits and damage

The insurance level, excess amount and any security deposit are stated on each offer and form part of your contract with the supplier. Inspect the vehicle together with the supplier at handover and at return; note any damage in writing. Disputes about damage, fuel or fines are matters between you and the supplier, though we will assist in good faith where we can.

7. Our liability

We are liable for operating this comparison service with reasonable care. We are not a party to the rental contract and are not liable for the acts or omissions of rental suppliers, vehicle availability at handover, or losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Affiliate disclosure

We may receive a commission from suppliers or booking platforms when you book through links on this site. This commission does not increase the price you pay.

9. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. We may update these terms; the version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
