This policy explains how CarHire Athens (carhireathens.com) handles personal data when you browse this site or request car rental offers for Athens, Greece. We act as a comparison and referral service; when you complete a booking, the rental supplier and the booking platform named on your voucher process your data as independent controllers under their own policies.

2. What we collect

Search details you enter (pickup and drop-off location, dates, driver age band), contact details you submit with a booking request (name, email, phone), technical data needed to serve the site (IP address, browser type, pages viewed), and cookie data described in our Cookie Policy. We do not collect payment card details; payment happens with the supplier or booking platform.

3. Why we process it

To run the search and pass your request to rental suppliers (performance of a contract), to keep the site secure and measure that it works (legitimate interest), and, only where you consent, for analytics cookies. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effect.

4. Sharing

Your booking request is shared with the rental supplier or booking platform that fulfils it, including LocalRent as the booking system behind the search widget. 5. Retention

Search data is kept only as long as needed to serve your session and short-term analytics. Booking request details are retained for as long as required to support the booking and any follow-up questions, then deleted or anonymised. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.
